The introduction of the International Maritime Organisation's new sulphur cap on fuels is one of the most significant events in the shipping industry since ships started transitioning to fuel oil from coal over 100 years ago. Viva Energy is proud to be supporting this transition through the development of our very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO).

Manufactured locally at Viva Energy's Geelong Refinery, our new VLSFO is the first low sulphur fuel oil to be produced in Australasia. The fuel, which has been in development for over 12 months, has been successfully trialled by a number of customers and is now available in Melbourne and Geelong.

We have the right people, the right infrastructure and the right products to make sure your vessels get the fuel they need, when and where they need it. Our Fuel Quality Assurance System (FQAS) provides superior on-specification quality control.

White Bay 6 Marina

Viva Energy are excited to announce that we now offer refuelling capability for small to medium enterprise customers when we commence operating the White Bay 6 fuel facility at White Bay, Sydney Harbour (currently operated by Baileys Marine Fuels Australia) from the 1st of January 2021.
