Good Deeds

Each year since 2016, Viva Energy has encouraged its employees to do a good deed for a charity or their local community as part of Good Deeds week. Good Deeds is a global initiative that unites people from over 100 countries each year to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet Viva Energy has embraced the concept, extending Good Deeds Day into a Good Deeds week.

In 2019, our staff participated in 843 activities (representing around 70 percent of the workforce), completing 1018 Good Deeds across the country. These efforts raised $11,164 which Viva Energy matched, giving a range of community partners more than $22,000 in funding.

Fundraising through Double My Donation and Team Fundraising

We want our employees to support charities they are passionate about. We offer a range of ways they can do this:

Double My Donation – where employees can donate money directly from their salary to a variety of community partners which is matched by Viva Energy.

Team Fundraising – groups of five or more employees can raise money as a team for one of our community partners and Viva Energy matches it up to $10,000 per charity, per year.
Good Deeds Week – Employees participate in a global event where people do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. Employee run activities include giving blood, food & clothing drives & volunteering with our community partners.

Through these programs, in 2019 our employees, with Viva Energy’s contribution raised more than $400,000.

Community Ambassadors

Our community program is delivered by our dedicated Community Ambassadors. These are passionate employees who help drive the Viva Energy community program in addition to their day job.

Each year our ambassadors coordinate activities and initiatives to raise money for our 20 plus community partners.
